From 16 January 2027 only CRS schema 3.0

CRS 3.0 is coming. Your Excel sheet stays.

meldbar turns your Excel sheet into the finished AEOI report for the FTA's portal – and checks it beforehand the way the portal does. In the browser, no installation. Your account data never leaves your computer.

In force since 1 January

The amended CRS is in force – and the portal switches schema.

Since 1 January 2026 the amended Common Reporting Standard applies in Switzerland. For the reports of the year 2026 (deadline 30 June 2027) this means:

  • Until 14 December 2026 the portal accepts schema 2.0 only; from 16 January 2027 only 3.0. A file in the old structure is rejected.
  • 3.0 requires new mandatory data per account: self-certification, due-diligence procedure, account type, type of the controlling persons.
  • The portal's online form cannot correct a report (only cancel and re-enter it), no longer shows its content and does not cover the whole schema.

Who it is for

For everyone who files reports on behalf of others.

Trust company with 30 vehicles

Every registry in one overview, every report that is due built in one pass, one check protocol per report for the file – and a price per vehicle that you re-bill.

Fiduciary with three PICs

Fill in the template, check, download the package, upload: an hour a year instead of an advisory engagement. Next year, adjust the same sheet – the correction writes itself.

Features

Everything between your sheet and the portal.

Check like the portal

OECD schema 2.0 and 3.0, 59 of 65 rules of the technical guidance, character set, partner jurisdictions of the reporting year, IBAN/ISIN – every finding with FTA code, location and remedy, in your language.

Excel in, XML out

One template with four sheets, drop-down lists and notes. One click builds the CRS XML file with every identifier.

Encrypted for the FTA

The package is built exactly as section 3.3.1 of the guidance prescribes – AES-256, the FTA's public key, the right file name for test and production.

Corrections without headaches

The registry remembers what was sent. Next year, adjust the same sheet: changed accounts become corrections, removed ones cancellations, new ones a new report.

Understand the portal's answer

Paste the validation confirmation – every code is explained, and the registry knows whether the report was accepted.

Your data stays with you

No server, no analytics, no cookies. The check runs in your browser; a security policy forbids any other connection. Works offline after the first visit.

1

Download the template

The Excel template from the app: one sheet for the institution, one for the accounts, one for controlling persons, one for payments.

2

Fill it in

In your Excel, as usual. Yellow columns are mandatory, lists show the permitted codes, every column explains itself in a comment.

3

Check

Drag the file into the app. Seconds later: green, or a list of findings – account, field, FTA code, what to do.

4

Build and encrypt

Open the registry, choose the FTA's key once, click "Build". The package is ready for the AEOI portal.

5

Upload and record the outcome
